I have started my own blog. It can be found at http://www.brighteyestampa.com/news.html.

This blog features many of the wonderful opportunities that occur in a private practice, as well as other information that is relevant to my patients.

I encourage you to check the blog out and then tell me that private practice is dead.

Cheers!

You are making this all about how easy it is for you to make money. Please explain how you are giving great care. That is what patients are interested in--not your bank account.

[<em>Umm...no one is doubting my ability to give great patient care. This post wasn't about that particular topic, though. I was merely trying to explain that if two optometrists, a Wal-Mart doc and a solo private practice doc, both make $120K pre-tax net, but the Wal-Mart doc can do it 4 days a week and with less headaches than the other, then why wouldn't everyone want to be a Wal-Mart doc?
But if you can be patient enough, over time I will have other posts dealing with patient care topics.</em>]

Why would I want to start my own blog, when you ask for comments? Isn't that the point of that function? To get other opinions? If you don't want me pointing out your poor ability to reason, then don't allow readers to leave comments.
